ACISC MEMBERSHIP

The ACISC membership community is an international network of educational institutions and education professionals committed to advancing educational quality, international understanding, intercultural learning, and global citizenship.

Our members include higher education institutions, international schools, and other eligible educational organizations that share a commitment to high standards of leadership, educational practice, student well-being, and responsible international engagement.

Membership provides opportunities for institutions and professionals to connect, exchange knowledge, access relevant resources, participate in professional and educational initiatives, and engage with an international community of peers.

Expand Your International Network

Connect with educational leaders, admissions and guidance professionals, educators, and other members of the international education community.

ACISC provides opportunities for members to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and develop professional relationships across borders.

Support International Engagement

Participate in selected events, discussions, initiatives, and resources designed to support institutions in developing their international outlook and engagement with students, families, educators, and educational partners.

Access Professional Resources

Access selected member resources, information, events, and professional development opportunities designed to support institutional development and international educational engagement.

Resources may include research, guidance materials, webinars, networking opportunities, and other initiatives developed with contributions from members and education professionals.

Membership and Accreditation Are Separate

ACISC membership does not constitute accreditation.

Membership provides access to the ACISC membership community and its applicable services and opportunities. Accreditation is a separate, standards-based institutional evaluation process.

Membership does not guarantee eligibility for accreditation, an accreditation decision, or any particular accreditation outcome.

Membership Eligibility

To be considered for ACISC membership, an institution must:

• Be legally established and authorized to operate as an educational institution in the jurisdiction in which it operates, where such authorization is required.
• Provide evidence of a genuine commitment to educational quality, international education, global citizenship, intercultural understanding, and appropriate support for students.
• For degree- or qualification-granting institutions, be legally authorized to offer the academic awards or qualifications identified in its application.
• Demonstrate appropriate institutional governance, leadership, and accountability.
• Agree to support and uphold the ACISC Code of Ethics and any applicable ACISC membership principles and requirements.
• Provide accurate and verifiable institutional information as part of the membership application process.
• Pay the applicable annual membership fee.

ACISC may request additional documentation or information where necessary to determine whether an institution meets the applicable membership requirements.

International Branch Campuses

An international branch campus may be eligible for separate ACISC membership where it operates as a distinct educational entity and meets the applicable membership requirements.

The branch campus should:

• Operate in a country different from that of its main campus.
• Have appropriate local administrative and operational responsibility.
• Maintain clearly defined admissions, academic, and student-support arrangements.
• Offer educational programs or qualifications that can be completed, where applicable, at the branch campus in accordance with the institution’s legal authorization.
• Provide evidence of its commitment to educational quality, international education, global citizenship, and appropriate student support.
• Demonstrate that its operations comply with applicable local laws and regulations.
• Agree to support and uphold the ACISC Code of Ethics and applicable ACISC membership requirements.
• Pay the applicable annual membership fee.

ACISC may review the relationship between a branch campus and its main campus when determining eligibility for separate membership.

Becoming an ACISC Member

Institutions interested in joining ACISC may begin by submitting the appropriate membership application.

Following receipt of the application, the ACISC membership team may review the information provided and contact the institution if additional information or clarification is required.

Membership applications are considered in accordance with the applicable ACISC membership requirements and procedures.
