The Accrediting Council of International Schools & Colleges
(ACISC) is an independent international accreditation and
quality-assurance organization focused on the evaluation and
improvement of educational institutions.
ACISC’s work is centered on defined standards, institutional
evidence, evaluation, review, and continuous improvement. The
accreditation process provides a structured opportunity for an
institution to examine how effectively it fulfills its
educational mission and how well its systems, policies,
resources, and practices support students and the wider
institutional community.
Rather than treating accreditation as a single event or a title
alone, ACISC approaches quality assurance as an ongoing
institutional responsibility. Accreditation is therefore
connected to evaluation, accountability, reflection,
improvement, and periodic review.
The organization serves institutions operating in different
educational and national contexts while recognizing that
educational institutions remain subject to the laws,
regulations, licensing requirements, and other requirements
applicable in their respective jurisdictions.
