Affiliated Consultant Membership Criteria
Applicants for affiliated consultant membership should demonstrate appropriate professional experience, qualifications, expertise, and a clear record of responsible professional practice. ACISC may request information or documentation necessary to assess an applicant against the applicable membership criteria.
Depending on the nature of the proposed consultancy services, applicants may be expected to provide evidence of relevant experience, professional references, appropriate background or safeguarding checks, professional insurance where applicable, and other information relevant to their area of practice.
Professional Conduct and Ethics
Affiliated consultants are expected to conduct their activities honestly, professionally, and transparently. Consultants should accurately describe their qualifications, experience, services, and relationship with ACISC and should comply with applicable ACISC ethical and professional expectations.
Consultants must not represent affiliation with ACISC as institutional accreditation, governmental recognition, licensing, regulatory approval, or authorization. Affiliation does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of a consultant’s services or professional outcomes.
Areas of Professional Expertise
Consultants may operate in different areas of international education according to their qualifications and professional experience. Areas of expertise may include educational leadership, school development, curriculum and learning, higher education guidance, professional development, institutional planning, international education, or other relevant services.
Application and Review
ACISC may review applications and supporting information to determine whether an applicant meets the applicable affiliated consultant membership criteria. Applicants should provide accurate and complete information and respond to any requests for additional documentation during the review process.
Where ACISC is not accepting new affiliated consultant applications, this status will be communicated through the appropriate official ACISC channel. Prospective applicants should confirm current application availability before preparing or submitting materials.
Membership Is Not Accreditation
ACISC affiliated consultant membership is separate from institutional accreditation. A consultant, consultancy, school, college, or university does not become accredited through consultant membership or affiliation.
Accreditation is a separate institutional quality-assurance process involving applicable standards, evidence, evaluation, review, and formal decision-making.
